Date and location: 25-26 August 2026, Cambridge
The 3rd International Symposium on Microfluidics for Sensing and Sequencing: Frontier Technology for Sustainability and Planetary Health (ISM2S 2026) is inviting abstract submissions.
Following previous ISM2S in Cranfield 2024 and Oxford 2025, this two-day event covers the topic of biosensing and microfluidics for high-throughput, single-microbe sensing and sequencing to address global challenges on environment and health. Themes include biosensing, microfluidics, engineering biology, single-cell analysis and sequencing, point-of-care diagnostics, antimicrobial resistance, and environmental sustainability and planetary health.
Scientific sessions will cover:
- Plenary Health and Sustainability
- Biosensors and Chemical sensors
- Microfluidics and Lab-on-a-Chip
- Antimicrobial Resistance and One Health
- Engineering Biology
The organising committee includes Prof Zhugen Yang of Cranfield University, who leads EBNet’s Environmental Sensors and Wastewater Surveillance (ESWS) WG.
