On 8 September 2026, the National Biofilms Innovation Centre (NBIC) is hosting an in-person workshop on Biofilms Beyond Healthcare: Industry Challenges, Solutions and Collaboration at the University of Nottingham.
This event will bring together industry, technology providers and academic researchers to explore the challenges and opportunities that biofilms present beyond healthcare across sectors including food production, manufacturing, water, agriculture, clean energy, transport and the built environment. The workshop is highly relevant to a wide range of EBNet members, including those in the Water Biofilms and Aerobic Granulation Processes WGs.
The workshop offers an opportunity to:
- Connect with potential collaborators and solution providers
- Share challenges and unmet needs
- Discover emerging technologies and approaches
- Help shape future innovation and funding opportunities
