The Young Investigator Award was established by the journal Processes in 2020 to acknowledge the achievements of young investigators in the field of processes/systems in chemistry, biology, material, energy, environment, food, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, automation control, catalysis, separation, particle and allied engineering. Nominations are accepted from June to December every year, with winners notified by the end of March the following year.
The award consists of a certificate, a prize of CHF 2000, and a voucher waiving the Article Processing Charges (APCs) for a submission to Processes which is valid for one year (article acceptance subject to peer review). The winner will be announced on 31 March 2027
- To be eligible for the award, nominees must:
- have received their PhD no more than 10 years prior to 31 Dec 2026;
have produced ground-breaking research and made a significant contribution to the advancement of processes/systems in chemistry, biology, material, energy, environment, food, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, automation control, catalysis, separation, particle and allied engineering; - be nominated by senior scientists.
