Discussing how we can make interesting things from waste is probably not the most obvious starting point for impressing a group of girl guides, but our Circular Bioeconomy outreach team did just that at the STEM Badge Day on 19 Apr at the University of Southampton. Guides spent the day learning about various STEM activities, enjoying tours, Pepper’s Ghost activity and circular bioeconomy.
There was a competition for the design of the badge and the winning badge design was awarded to participants – great idea!
Making products from wastes was [my favourite] because it helped the planet.
