The Circular Bio-based Europe Joint Undertaking (CBE JU) has published a report on its latest achievements and progress.
The report shows increased participation, growing community engagement and high demand for new funding. Over 1,700 stakeholders connected via the CBE JU networking platform, and the widening participation strategy produced a record 298 proposals to the 2024 call. Of these, 31 were selected for funding.
By the end of 2024, the CBE JU portfolio included 192 funded projects, involving 1,550 participants from 44 countries, with ā¬213 million committed to new initiatives. SMEs made up around a third of participants and received a third of the total funding. One in four projects was coordinated by an SME, reinforcing their vital contribution to the bio-based sector.
