The Elemental Hub has launched Catalysing New UK-US Critical Minerals Research Partnerships, a scheme designed to strengthen transatlantic collaboration on critical minerals and materials (CMM).
Funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office and delivered in partnership with the UK Science and Technology Network, this programme offers targeted travel grants of up to £5000 to support short-term researcher and industry exchanges between the UK and US.
Eligibility and conditions
- Researchers or industry from UK or US institutions wishing to build new bilateral collaborations
- This fund supports exchanges between researchers, as well as researcher-to-industry travel and vice versa. Industry-to-industry travel is not covered under this scheme.
- Projects must focus on short-term exchanges that advance engineering biology methods to strengthen CMM supply chains.
Note: Applications are open to Elemental members. Non-members may apply by joining Elemental before submission.
