This is fully-funded ( 4-year) opportunity to work on Examination of intermediate compounds in anaerobic digestate and their effect on phosphorous removal using electrocoagulation. The work will extend current research on industrial biotechnology to investigate nutrient removal and recovery from anaerobic digestates, and how differing biochemical compositions affect nutrient removal efficiencies.
