Poster abstract deadline: 13 March 2026

Date: 15 April 2026

Venue: RSC Burlington House, London, W1J 0BA

The Royal Society of Chemistry Biotechnology Group invites you to the Biotechnology for Sustainability: From Discovery to Deployment conference

This one-day event aims to bring together scientists, entrepreneurs, and thought leaders in the growing field of sustainable biotechnologies. Topics will range from fundamental research through commercialisation in biotech fields including synthetic biology, chemical synthesis, and agricultural biomass conversion.

Meeting aims:

  • Connect with researchers, innovators, and stakeholders across industry and academia in the growing field of sustainable biotechnologies.
  • Provide a forum to share practical insights and lessons learned in moving from early discovery to real-world deployment.
  • Showcase diverse career paths to early career researchers in biotechnology research.

The day is organised in order to prioritise audience engagement. There are three sessions planned, each encompassing briefer invited talks followed by a panel discussion, with questions from the audience encouraged! There is also a poster session designed specifically with students and early career researchers in mind. Participants will have the opportunity to ‘pitch’ their technology, research, or idea for a future tech to experts in a friendly setting.
