A recent News item mentioned the potential for process intensification based on aerobic granular sludge (AGS) as a means of increasing the treatment capacity of wastewater facilities – a very hot topic given the poor performance of the UK water sector in this area.
The main advantage of process intensification is it can be applied in existing plants, enabling significant improvements in performance without major capital cost or space requirements. While AGS is increasingly popular in the UK and Europe, it has mainly been implemented in purpose-built new facilities operated in sequential batch mode. In the US, however, attention has also focused on retrofitting to continuous systems
Back in 2022 EBNetâs AGS WG, led by Dr Yongqiang Liu, hosted an excellent webinar on this topic. We werenât able to share the presentation and discussions at the time, as they were embargoed for commercial reasons. Now Dr Sudhir Murthy, the CEO of NEWhub Corp, has kindly allowed us to make the recording public – and itâs every bit as fresh, fascinating and thought-provoking as it was then.
Donât miss the chance to watch the newly-released webinar on Aerobic granules in continuous operating mode and its commercialisation.
