BES WG Lead’s Green Futures fellowship – and updated WG report

Congratulations to Dr Sharon Velasquez-Orta who has been awarded a Royal Academy of Engineering Green Futures Fellowship to work on a project entitled CHANGE: Carbon dioxide conversion by intensified electrobiocatalysis. The Fellowship is one of 13 In in a new programme funded by the Department for Science, Innovation & Technology to scale breakthrough climate innovations over the next decade. EBNet was one of several organisations providing Letters of Support for her application.

Dr Velasquez-Orta, who leads EBNet’s Bioelectrochemical Systems WG, said “It is wonderful to have this opportunity to take forward our work on bioelectrochemical systems and apply it to make a direct impact on the climate crisis”.
