The EPSRC-funded Better Water 4All Network+ is hosting its first webinar on Engineering for the challenges of Forever Chemicals (PFAS) in drinking water. The speaker is Dr Yanyan Zhang who leads the Analysis and Degradation Mechanism of Emerging Contaminants Laboratory in Westlake University, China.
The webinar will cover structure-dependent defluorination mechanisms of PFAS by advanced oxidation and reduction processes, including theroetical frameworks and experimental kinetics. The session will be introduced by Prof Bing Guo, the Better Water 4All Network+ Lead.
Dr Tao Lyu of Cranfield University said “EBNet’s PFAS WG is continuing within the newly-funded Network, where we will continue our efforts to bridge academics, practitioners and policymakers”.
