CIWEM Site visit to Toton WWTW – 24 June 2025: don’t miss!

CIWEM Site visit to Toton WWTW – 24 June 2025: don’t miss!

The Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management (CIWEM) has arranged a site visit to Toton WWTW near Nottingham.  The visit is on 24 June 2025 and is open to CIWEM members and to non-members.  For details and to register for the visit see here.

The guided tour, hosted by Severn Trent, will follow the treatment process from screens to final effluent discharge into the River Trent. Please note that PPE, including steel toecap boots and a high viz vest, is obligatory. If you do not have the appropriate PPE, contact the organisers via the registration form.

EBNet’s members have noted that it is increasingly difficult to get access to ‘live’ WWTW and talk to the professional staff who run them. This is an essential part of training and development for future specialists, as well as being vital to Environmental Biotechnology research.  We are therefore very grateful to CIWEM and Severn Trent for this opportunity.
