EBNet were proud to sponsor the “Student and Young Professionalsā Poster Award” at this year’s AquaEnviro European Biosolids & Organic Resources Conference & Exhibition,19-20 November 2019 in Manchester. Network co-manager Angie Bywater offered the top prize of Ā£250 to Hamed Ghazisaidi, University of Toronto for his winning poster on “Exploring the possibility of using hemoglobin as bioflocculant in dewatering of biosludge”.
EBNet also chaired a well-attended session on “Converting Genetic information into Action – Progress and Problems”, with presentations from Prof. James Chong, University of York, Dr Claudio Avignone-Rossa, University of Surrey, Dr Chris Quince, University of Warwick, Dr Pawel Sierocinski, University of Exeter, Dr Rafaella Villa, De Montfort University, with Tom Taylor from Yorkshire Water wrapping up the session with an industry perspective.
