With a challenge of ‘bringing our own energy’ and in temperatures exceeding 30 degrees C, the AD Network legacy Circular Bioeconomy outreach team headed for Glastonbury on 25th June to 1st July, joining scientists from all over the country in order to talk to festival-goers about our work.
Big thanks go to Ana Perdomo Marin and Michael Cousins who manned the indoor exhibit over the 5 days of the festival, as well as James Murcott of Methanogen who provided the van (and time) to help us with the solar-powered micro-AD system which happily cooked both vegan and non-vegan popcorn (as well as meals) over the festival period, bringing a whole new meaning to ‘off-grid’.
