EBNet’s Biochar WG had a great trip to Heriot-Watt University on Friday 24 May 2024 visiting the lab facilities of Tony Gutierrez, Ryan Pereira, and Clay Magill. Following the lab tours, there were talks from Tony, Anna Bogush, Miriam Watafua, Paul-Enguerrand Fady and the WG Lead Meredith Barr. The group brainstormed ideas for an animation, and finished the day with a networking reception.
Many thanks to Prof Gutierrez for hosting the visit, and thanks to all the speakers and to Clement Oyesiji, Novelita Mondamina, Prudence Mhlophe, and Joy Ginika-Osuorji for joining us. It was very rewarding to meet everyone in person, hear what people are working on, and discuss potential collaborations!
