IChemE webinar: Designing and Developing Cell Factory-based Carbon Sequestration Technologies for the Sustainable Chemical Industry

IChemE webinar: Designing and Developing Cell Factory-based Carbon Sequestration Technologies for the Sustainable Chemical Industry

Date:Ā  14 July 2025 13-14:00 UK

Dr Ahsan Islam, Senior Lecturer in Biochemical Engineering at Loughborough University, will discuss his group’s work on designing and developing bespoke biological cell factories that use GHGs as feedstock for the sustainable manufacture of commodity chemicals.

Dr Islam said, “Converting the fossil fuel-based chemical industry sector into a sustainable and carbon-neutral industry is essential for a Net Zero, GHG emissions-free future”.

This webinar is hosted by the Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE) and is free to members.Ā  For full details see here.
