Dr Ahsan Islam, Senior Lecturer in Biochemical Engineering at Loughborough University, will discuss his groupā€™s work on designing and developing bespoke biological cell factories that use GHGs as feedstock for the sustainable manufacture of commodity chemicals.

Dr Islam said, “Converting the fossil fuel-based chemical industry sector into a sustainable and carbon-neutral industry is essential for a Net Zero, GHG emissions-free future”.
