Date and venue: Â Â 16 May 2026 13-15:00, Winchester
In May, author and originator of the Green Stories project Denise Baden will be running a writing workshop for the Hampshire Writers’ Society (open to non-members) in the Tower Room at The Arc, Winchester SO23 8SB.
In this session Denise will share her research into storytelling – what works to engage readers, what doesn’t and why. She will show how storytellers are the ultimate influencers, how this can be used for good or bad and will draw on psychological theories to help maximise the positive impact.
Denise will do a deep dive into writing craft and show examples of how issues can be woven into engaging stories in a way that avoids preachiness and enriches the readers’ experience.
For more details and to register for the workshop see HERE.
In her day job, Denise is Professor of Sustainable Practice at the University of Southampton. You can learn more about her research interests, projects and academic publications here.Â
