Participants in the 34th European Biomass Conference & Exhibition (EUBCE 2026, 19-22 May) in The Hague, Netherlands were able to hear IEA Bioenergy Task 42‘s Lead Richard Gosselink give an overview of current developments on biorefineries world-wide, accompanied by a poster presentation on the goals, work plans and achievements of Task 42.

Dr Yue Zhang, who co-Leads EBNet’s Anaerobic Fermentation WG, said: “The presentation is an excellent overview of the current position, and also introduces the Task’s Biorefinery Atlas Portal which provides very useful information on what is going on around the world. It is not only encouraging to see real implementation, but also a convenient source of data for any biorefinery R&D”.
