For a light-hearted item while many EBNet members are on holiday, we bring you a quick update on sightings of Green Stories: Microbes to the Rescue!
Copies are known to have made their way to Dublin and Cork in Ireland, and to Malta and Canada. But the undisputed hands-down winner in terms of distance travelled is the bookshop on Bribie Island, a little way north of Brisbane in Australia. This lovely spot borders the Pumicestone Passage, a marine reserve with a wonderful diversity of wildlife. Our thanks to Prof Bernadette McCabe of the University of Southern Queensland and IEA Bioenergy Task 37 for launching that one on its journey, and we hope antipodean holiday-makers will continue to enjoy it for years to come.
Meanwhile many people have commented that the audiobook is excellent, and really gives added depth and dimension to the stories. It’s freely available here and via the Resources page, but maybe we should look into getting it uploaded on a public domain site to reach interested audiences who prefer to listen. Anyone with experience and ideas on how to do this, just let us know!
