EBNet, in conjunction with E3B: Metals in Biology, is advertising a limited number of £1K (max.) ECR Travel Bursaries to Biomining 23.
Are you an ECR presenting at Biomining ’23? If your work falls within the remit of either/both Networks, apply to us for funding now. This joint initiative will be administered by EBNet (with additional funding from E3B: Metals in Biology). In a change to our general guidance, the maximum support level for this specific call is £1,000. Successful applications will be supported by whichever Network aligns most closely in scope. To ensure rapid processing of your application, kindly ensure that you have joined both Networks.
Biomining ’23 will focus on the latest developments in the field of biohydrometallurgy and bioprocessing: the development, optimisation and application of integrated biomining process operations for mineral ores, including low grade and complex ores; the microbiology of biomining and the application of biohydrometallurgy, bioflotation and other technologies to novel resources (such as mine and electronic wastes) and the (bio)remediation of mining-impacted environments. Applications will be accepted on the topics of “the microbiology of biomining”, “(bio)remediation” or any other topic with a microbial aspect which falls within the broad remit of both networks.
Application is via the standard EBNet Travel Bursary route – here. By applying, you agree that your details may be shared between EBNet and E3B for essential processing purposes. Deadline: 5pm, Thursday, 25 May 2023.
