If you would like to use High Performance Computing for genomics but don’t know where to start then the Cloud-SPAN Courses could be for you! The Cloud-SPAN team have developed two courses which provide an introduction to using the command line, logging onto the cloud and developing skills to analyse and manage large data sets. The courses are free.
Prenomics [online] 22-23 November 2022
This online course provides you with a step by step guide on how to locate and save files and how to log onto a cloud instance.
Genomics [University of York] 6-7 December 2022
This course allows you to develop your skills in managing data such as assessing read quality, trimming and filtering, variant calling and running IGV from the command line. To participate in the Genomics course we recommend that you attend the Prenomics course or that you are able to successfully complete this self-assessment quiz.
