COVID-19 UPDATE: Abstracts are now open. Please do send them in, as we are looking at alternative ways of doing this should we all be on lockdown.
Plans are currently afoot for our second annual Early Career Researcher (ECR) conference. This conference is designed for ECRs to present their research as a poster or platform presentation in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere of their peers. Last year we attracted nearly 60 members to share their experiences and expertise in EB. There will be a FREE evening networking dinner included. Pre-approved travel/accommodation bursaries* are available to EBNet ECR members based at a UK institution. We also offer FREE poster printing (for files sent at least 2 weeks in advance).
This year, we have a number of volunteer ECR members of the Scientific Committee who will judge abstracts and presentations, as well as chairing sessions. It’s bound to be a great event, located, as ever, somewhere with good transport connections, so pencil it into your diary today! More details coming soon in our Feb newsletter.
Registration and abstract submission is open now. Abstracts will be printed in the event brochure for networking purposes and are required for all delegates. In addition, all participants will contribute either a poster or presentation. If chosen, presentations slots will be 15 minutes (plus time for questions). Notification will be after the abstract deadline (17 May). Abstract requirements can be found here.
*NOTE: In the event of non-attendance (for any reason) no EBNet bursary claim may be made – even for non-refundable advance purchases. We therefore advise that you ensure you have adequate insurance in place in advance of purchase. Although this event is after Covid-19 is predicted to peak, it may be advisable not to book travel early and also to ensure that any hotel rooms booked are refundable. If this causes a financial penalty or financial hardship, please contact us before booking.
