Open innovation is the practice of organisations sourcing ideas from external sources as well as internal ones. This means sharing knowledge and information about problems and looking outside the organisation for solutions and suggestions. Innovate UK KTN are launching an open innovation offering by asking challenge holders to come forward in two areas: Sustainable bio-based Materials and Manufacture (SusBioMM) & Resource Efficiency for Materials and Manufacturing (REforMM).
