This fellowship is supported by the Japan Society for Promotion of Science (JSPS), and is open to all fields. It provides an opportunity for researchers based outside of Japan to conduct collaborative research with leading groups at Japanese universities and research institutions for visits of between 12 to 24 months.
Eligible applicants must have completed a PhD at the time of applying to start the fellowship, or have obtained a PhD on or after 2 April 2021.
Fellowships are expected to commence between 1 April to 30 Sept 2027.
Applications should be sent to JSPS Tokyo via a host institution in Japan. Please be aware that the host institution’s internal deadline will be earlier.
