UP-TO-ME is a project funded under European Union Horizon Europe framework. Its aim is to revolutionize decentralized Power-to-Methanol production, thereby expediting the global transition to a net-zero environment. The project’s goal is to create a fully autonomous unmanned plant that combines CO2 capture from point- sources with the methanol synthesis, powered by the locally available renewable energy. This initiative specifically targets hard-to-electrify applications, such as marine vessels and heavy goods vehicles.
