Developing the Next-Generation of Monitoring for Human and Env. Protection

Developing the Next-Generation of Monitoring for Human and Env. Protection

Webinar: Wed 29 Sep 12:00-13:00

This talk is by Dr Andrew Singer, who is a Principal Scientist at the UK Centre for Ecology and Hydrology (CEH). He is a pollution scientist with an interest in understanding its effects on microbial ecology and ecosystem function in soil and water systems. Dr Singer leads the National COVID-19 Wastewater-Based Epidemiology Surveillance Programme, a NERC-funded project through the COVID-Rapid Response Call, to serve the national effort of using SARS-CoV-2 RNA in wastewater to inform the UK government response on cases of COVID-19 in the population.

This fascinating talk leads a new series brought to you by Dr Zhugen Yang, Cranfield University and Dr Martin Spurr, Newcastle University – heads of the EBNet Working Group: Environmental Sensors and Wastewater Surveillance.
