BBNet, HVB, EBNet and Supergen Bioenergy Hub ECR Workshop: Realising the potential of your ideas through partnership and funding

10-11 October 2023, Sheffield

The Edge, University of Sheffield, The Endcliffe Village, 34 Endcliffe Crescent, Sheffield S10 3ED

This free in-person interactive workshop is for early career researchers* (ECR) who want to learn more about winning funding – from research proposals to investment pitches. Through a series of talks, facilitated discussions, knowledge-sharing and advice clinics, we will explore how to develop your ideas, form partnerships and identify and apply for funding opportunities. Please see the provisional programme for more information.

This workshop has been developed by BBNet, HVB, EBNet and the Supergen Bioenergy Hub as part of our Early Career Researcher toolkit series.

Complete this form to register. Registration closes at 10:00 on Monday 18 September 2023.

Please be aware that submission of your registration does not constitute confirmation that a place has been awarded to you. We will notify participants of the outcome of their application shortly after the deadline.

Places are limited and will be shared between the networks. Priority will be given to applicants who have indicated that they are in a position to apply for funding. Delegates who are offered a place will need to confirm their acceptance of the offer by email and if no acceptance is received the place will be withdrawn.

This is a free event with all meals and accommodation on 10 October 2023 provided. See our Event Terms and Conditions for more details.

*We have a flexible definition of an ECR for training workshops, and if you define your role as an ECR you are welcome to apply for a place. Typically, we envisage delegates will be UK-based PhD students, postgraduate or postdoctoral researchers and lecturers who are within three years of their first appointment. ECRs working in industry are also very welcome to attend this workshop.
